Indonesia Warriors Import Harold Sta Cruz’s First Holidays Away From Home

Christmas is a very special time of the year and is traditionally spent with our nearest and dearest, but for  Indonesia Warriors’ Filipino forward Harold Sta. Cruz, Christmas this year was spent away from home because  he had to stay in Jakarta in preparation for the upcoming AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League season 3.

So how did he manage to spend his first Christmas away from home?

 “I talked to my wife and two kids through Skype during Christmas day. After that, Jerrick (Canada), Ricky  (Ricafuente) and I went to the mall to eat. We still have to celebrate Christmas  although we are far from our  families,”Harold said.

Being away from his family is very tough for Harold as the holiday season usually involves being with his family  and spending a lot of time together. “I miss my family a lot. Usually my relatives and I have a family gathering during the holiday season. We talk, eat, and joke around. Always an amazing time when we have the family together,” said the Indonesia Warriors’ forward.

As for Harold’s plans to usher in 2012?

 “I still have no plans yet for New Year’s Eve. This will be my first time spending New Years Eve in Jakarta and  since I don’t really know much about Jakarta yet, so I’m going to ask Mario (Wuysang) what to do for New  Year’s Eve.”

Despite the holiday season, Harold is hard at work in his bid to help the Indonesia Warriors secure the title for  the upcoming AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League’s third season. “I’m very focused right now. I’m still working out during this holiday season just to make sure that my body is ready when the season comes. I want to help this team to win. We are so excited about this upcoming AirAsia ABL season 3.”
