National rivalries will be put to the test in the final game of Week 2 as the Indonesia Warriors play hosts to the Westports Malaysia Dragons.

Both teams will be coming in with wins under their belts from the opening weekend, the Warriors defeating the Slingers after a dominating performance by Mario Wuysang and Steve Thomas and the Dragons coming from behind the beat San Miguel Beermen in a close and intense game that went into overtime.

Dragons are probably the most talked-about team in the AirAsia ABL now following their huge win over the San Miguel  Beermen. The Dragons dominated the board against the Beermen and outrebounded them 49-34. They will have to do that against the Warriors because the Warriors have two new big imports in Steven Thomas and Jonathan Smith. Dragons’ two imports Tiras Wade and Brian Williams carried their team in their first game. Wade had 28 points, while Williams had the best stats in the first week with 26 points and 23 rebounds

Warriors’ Mario Wuysang will try to carry his performance from last Sunday when he dropped 23 points against the Slingers. Steven Thomas also dominated in the paint with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Thomas also played great defense on Slingers’ big man Donald Little and will have to look towards repeating that type of performance against the Dragons’ Brian Williams.
