Brian Williams  Gabe Freeman

Rumors have been flying around for a few weeks now but the San Miguel Beermen made it official yesterday. Through his Twitter account, San Miguel Corporation Director of Sports Noli Eala announced that the team have signed Brian Williams and Gabe Freeman.

"San Miguel Beermen is happy to announce the signing of Brian Williams and Gabe Freeman for the 4th season of the ABL," said Eala on his Twitter account. "Both Brian and Gabe bring power, poise, and explosiveness to the team. Both are proven winners and can play multiple roles for the Beermen," added Eala.

Williams played with the Westports Malaysia Dragons last season and had a strong season, finishing with an average of 20 points and 14.3 rebounds per game. The 6'10'' center also confirmed his signing via his Twitter account, stating "I'm the newest member of San Miguel Beermen and we are taking over bringing the ABL championship to Manila".

Freeman is also no stranger to the San Miguel Corporation or the ABL. Freeman won the top import awards in the PBA twice while playing for the San Miguel franchise in 2009 and 2010, which has since been renamed the Petron Blaze Boosters. The 26 year-old forward also had big success playing in the ABL as he won the ABL championship with Philippine Patriots in season 1. He also played for the Patriots in season 2 but they were not able to capture their second straight championship after losing to Chang Thailand Slammers in the finals.
