The Indonesia
Warriors are still the hottest team in the ABL right now after they earned
their seventh straight win this season on Wednesday. Their streak will be on
the line now as they prepare for a big battle against the San Miguel Beermen on
Friday night for this week's ABL Friday Basketball game.
"It's always a pleasure to face the San Miguel Beermen because we enjoy the level of competition they bring. We know we must play our best basketball in order to give ourselves a chance," said Coach Todd on the matchup against the Beermen. "They are playing great basketball and now they are at full strength. They are more than formidable."

In their last
meeting, Johh Smith and Mario Wuysang made big shot after big shot to help the
Warriors beat the Beermen 98-96 in an overtime thriller at the Ynares Sports
Arena, Philippines. Wuysang led the Warriors with 20 points while Jerick Canada
and Chris Daniels chipped in with 18 points each.
For their
seventh win this season, the Warriors defeated the Chang Thailand Slammers
69-60. Steven Thomas led the way with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Dodo Sitepu
added 15 points and John Smith finished with 12 points.
Daniels' run of
consecutive double-doubles was stopped at 8 games after he was unable to post one
in the win. Daniels was limited to only 24 minutes due to foul trouble and a
cramp. "Chris is fine. After getting in early foul trouble, he just
cramped up because I had to sit him on the bench for so long. He will be ready
to against the Beermen," said Coach Todd about Daniels who finished with 8
points and 6 rebounds.
The Beermen will welcome back Brian Williams for this game. Williams was forced to sit out their last two games due to a knee injury and was replaced by Matt Rogers. Williams is averaging 14 points and 12.2 rebounds per game. Former University Santo Thomas star Jeric Fortuna will make his debut for the Beermen in this game. The 5'7'' point guard was averaging 8.8 points and 5.1 assists per game last season in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).

The Beermen are
coming off a 77-66 win over the Westports Malaysia Dragons at home last
Saturday. Chris Banchero and Rogers led the Beermen with 21 points each. RJ
Rizada contributed 10 points for the Beermen who captured their first back to
back win this season. The Beermen are currently number two on the standings
table with a record of 5 wins and 3 losses.
Banchero has been the man for the Beermen as he has been averaging 20.75 points over his last four games. Gabe Freeman will also return for the Beermen after serving a one game suspension. Freeman 20.5 points and 11 rebounds in the first two meetings against the Warriors.
