Satria Muda BritAma Turn Their Game Around In The Second Quarter To Win Match Against Brunei Barracudas
Sunday, January 10, 2010, Indonesia – Satria Muda BritAma went up against Brunei Barracudas for the second time today at the BritAma Arena, Jakarta, Indonesia.

Satria Muda BritAma used a similar lineup as their 8 November match, sending in Nakiea Miller, Alexander Hartman, Christian Sitepu and Youbel Sondakh, along with their latest addition, Mario Wuysang. Brunei Barracudas sent in Reggie Larry, Leonidaz Avenido, Michael Pilgrim, Celedon Camaso and Francis Adriano as their starting lineup. Barracudas’ Michael Pilgrim won the jumpball against Satria Muda’s Nakiea Miller, while Alexander Hartman opened the scoring for Satria Muda after being fouled by Barracudas’ Leonidaz Avenido.

 

Both teams were neck-in-neck in the first quarter, with Barracudas taking an early lead within 4 minutes of the match, and at the end of the first quarter, Brunei Barracudas were leading 22 -19 against Satria Muda. In the second quarter, Satria Muda turned the tables on the Barracudas, ending the quarter with a 20 point lead over the Barracudas with a final score of 52 – 32 at half time.

 

Satria Muda BritAma continued to increase their lead in the third quarter, which ended 78 – 53 against the Barracudas. In the final quarter, Barracudas fought hard and managed to reduce Satria Muda’s lead to 14 points, and at the final buzzer, Satria Muda emerged winners with a score of 98 – 84 against the Barracudas.

 

Satria Muda BritAma’s Amin Prihantono took the lead with 22 personal points, followed by Nakiea Miller with 19 points. Miller also had 15 rebounds in this match. Barracudas Reggie Larry lead the team with 24 points, followed by Michael Pilgrim with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

 

Despite this loss, Brunei Barracudas still maintain fourth in the league standings, with Satria Muda BritAma still in second place behind the Philippine Patriots.
