ABL Imposes Fine On KL Dragons For 9 January Incident
Tuesday, January 12, 2010, Malaysia – The ASEAN Basketball League will impose a fine against the KL Dragons for failing to control their players during the 9 January match against the Philippine Patriots.

The match saw the ejection of KL Dragons’ key players Chris Kuete, Koh Way Tek and Kwaan Yoong Jing after they were involved in a scuffle on court during the second quarter of the match.

Based on FIBA’s Game Commissioner and Referee reports, the three KL Dragons players rushed on court after a unsportsmanlike foul was called upon teammate Chai Chze Hian, which resulted in a confrontation occurring between the two teams.

KL Dragons’ General Manager, Mr Yakub Husaini assured ABL that the necessary disciplinary action has been taken to ensure that the incident does not recur.

The ASEAN Basketball League appreciates KL Dragons’ swift action in this matter.
