The AirAsia Philippine Patriots are managed and owned by Dr. Mikee Romero and Mr. Antonio Cojuangco, both acclaimed as winners in their own fields and captains in their respective industries. The team is part of the first six pioneers of the league and are now competing in their third season with the AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League. 

The Patriots have made it into the AirAsia ABL playoffs for two years in a row, even winning the coveted championship in the league's inaugural season.

For the past several years, it fields a highly competitive, passionate and athletic line-up, all attributes which the owners are also known for. Above all, the Patriots are a team that competes for flag and country.
